Neighborhood Greenways are being planned and funded in neighborhoods throughout Seattle. Community groups are recommending simple changes on their streets that will lead to big improvements to safety for the growing number of families who want a way to ride, walk or drive to neighborhood destinations.     Though you mention that you would be using underutilized streets for this, your map shows a greenway on Palatine. Palatine is used by Ken’s Market trucks making deliveries and is a very busy street, filled with Greenwood business employees’ cars, restaurant and bar patrons’ cars, as well as the residents’ vehicles, many of whom do not have driveways. 1st Avenue NW would be a much more intelligent street to use, as it is wider and much less traveled.
